I Jog And Swim

Swimming is such a new thing for me. I just started learning second week of June this year. I’ve sort of mastered free style and breast stroke…but it’s more of a swim a length, gasp and back again. On top of my swimming, I’ve slowly gotten back into jogging. I won’t be in the running mode for a while. I jog 5.7 miles in my neighborhood, and then do light resistance training. In fact, my muscles have all come out and complained that I feel like I should be checking out massage tables if I am going to be in this much pain after a jog and swim day. My shoulder joint creak! I can’t even lift my left arm full up because I must have the wrong position while I was doing a chin lift. Working out really sucks, but the pay off is a better looking me. I will have to keep doing this!

My Favorite Camera

It’s about time that I should gush about my favorite camera. It’s true that sometimes I long for one of those big hulking cameras. But nothing beats a camera I can stash in my pocket or my purse for those moments that are hard to come by.

My Sony Cybershot N50 with a Carl Zeiss something is a reliable camera. I love it. It takes wonderful picture. I think there’s so much more I can do about it, but I just haven’t the interest to pursue it.

I paid about 320 bucks when it first came out. I almost wanted to get rid of it and buy new one…but it’s so hardy. It has been splash a few times, dropped even…and still it takes wonderful pictures. Even moving carousel will not stop this camera from taking good ones. Take a look!

Stressful People

Do you know someone where just the mere mention of their name is enough to shoot your blood pressure sky high? It’s true that I try very hard not to let people have that much power over me. However, there’s that reaction that just can’t be helped.

My brother sent me a copy of an e-mail his ex-wife-from-hell wrote. There’s that disbelief about how she could literally make a mountain out of a small grain of sand. I don’t know why she can’t see just how evil she is.

It’s like she spend her days just planning how to make people miserable for the sheer pleasure of it. I try to see some redeeming quality in her, but I just cannot. And I’d rather not spend anymore time contemplating about her…but as you can see, there’s that knee-jerk reaction to whine.

OMG Moment

I’ve been investing in myself lately. I took lessons to swim so I can exercise in the water. I ran 6 miles and aims to do it three times a week. Now, I have to do resistance training to put my body back together again. They sort of stretch and is not the shape I want it to be. Been doing it for about 4 weeks now. So, if I can keep up, I might just be in better looking shape after a while.

I decided to do this because of an OMG moment in the dressing room. Shudder!

OverDrive Media Thingy

I am very happy that my local library is lending out digital items. I can even put audio books in my iPod and listen to it. The only HUGE, BIG problem is, the files that goes it will not come out. So my iPod nano is filling up with old audio books from OverDrive Media transfers and there is no way to delete them.

I just spent the last 3 hours reformatting my iPod, and damned it! I have enough. The OverDrive Media files won’t go and it’s taking space. It will delete files from other player, but NOT iPod.

So, if you’re planning on using your library downloads, make sure you know how to get rid of the files, otherwise, they pile up like dead bodies, taking space and not doing anything but stink up your iPod.

Can you tell I’m annoyed by this? I am annoyed and today is a bad day to NOT have my iPod working since I need it to stay away to do my delivery job at night.
