Not The Way to Go

So, I just had 2 cups of rice, and 16 oz of grilled chicken. It would have been a healthy meal if I just didn’t eat it towards midnight. This meal is going to guarantee that my tummy would be pouchy comes morning. Not what I planned, and not what I intended considering how diligent I have been about jogging off the pounds. Ugh!

Must Have For Summer

In a family dominated by testosterone, it’s inevitable that boys are going to want to do something other than Mommy’s prescribed safe summer activities. After all the tallest slides from a water-park has been conquered, there’s talk about sky diving! I’m having heart palpitations just thinking about it. I suggested atv riding instead. It will be exciting enough, yet the chances of being splattered on the ground is so much less. Still, I would prefer something really boring like watching the grass grow, but my boys are not going for it. Compared to dirt biking, ATV might be a whole lot safer…it’s got more than two wheels after all. We’ll just have to see.

The Holy Grail That Is Weight Loss

I heard from our family friend today that his wife is doing well. She went for a intestine surgery to get out of being obese. She ended up with so many complications, she had to stay in the hospital for two months. For a while there, I was worried that she might even die. Still, surgery is very radical. It works for some people. But I think that before going extreme, it’s probably a good idea to check out other weight loss products. Every time someone goes under a knife, it’s always dangerous. Why else would hospitals make you sign bazillion forms just to get it done? I’m not saying all surgeries are bad, I’m just saying that for some type of surgery (like weight loss), it’s better to make it the last option.

Natural Is Better

If you look around you, you’ll see that there are many businesses that thrived very well because they went natural and organic. In fact, I prefer to treat things the natures way. One family member have this huge wart on his feet. So, he’s treating it with apple cider vinegar. I think it’s working. I would prefer to use natural acne treatment for my daughter so as not to damage her beautiful skin. It’s sad that she’s got such nice complexion, except on her forehead. I hope she’s not going to get crater-full of scars on her forehead from this chronic acne outbreaks.

My Husband Loves Baseball Hats

About two years ago, my husband literally spent 300 dollars on baseball hats. There were so many designs and colors and he’s as happy as a bird in a bath. However, we live in the sweat capital of the south, and sweat-stained hats are so unappealing that eventually, most of the hats are discarded from the stains. We bought a few from the stores, but they turned out to be so expensive, it’s so much better if he goes to a wholesaler and buy a lot. This time, he only spent about 150 dollars. There weren’t that many hat styles and colors that he likes. He even got this pale gray ones that I really do not like. It looks dirty already, even before anyone gets to wear them. I have to insist he only wear it when we’re not together.
