We are seeking candidates for the position of Promotions and Events Manager at the Angelika Film Center & Café in Dallas. The Promotions and Events Manager would be responsible for the thorough promotion and marketing of (i) the Angelika Film Center and its brand and (ii) the films shown at the Angelika. The Promotions and Events Manager is also responsible for the execution of the theater rental business at the Angelika Dallas.
Specific responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for promoting and marketing the Angelika Film Center brand and the films played at the theater to both the immediate community and broader film community. Establish and maintain superior relations with community groups in the Dallas market.
- Oversee the execution and assist in the growth of our theater rental business at the Angelika Dallas. Work closely with film festivals, film and media companies, and corporate clients to execute events.
- Responsible for coordination efforts among clients, theater management and projection team. Responsible for all accounting and administration related to theater rental business.
- Oversee all aspects of in-theater marketing (including placement of trailers, standees, posters etc).
- Responsible for the creation and distribution of marketing materials (handouts, fliers) promoting the films or events at the Angelika Dallas.
- Responsible for comprehensive grass roots marketing related to specific films shown at the Angelika Dallas.
- Work with Company’s Concessions Director to develop interesting concession promotions.
- Oversee the screen and in-theater advertising at the Angelika Dallas.
- Oversee the Gift Card and Discount Ticket programs at the Angelika Dallas.
- Oversee the creation and execution of quality alternative programming.
- Work closely with theater management and projection team and expected to assist in maintaining first class theater standards.
